Today is the worst day in comic book history…… We’ve lost STAN THE MAN LEE! We will always love the worlds you created for us, and you for being you, and making us true believers, and reminding us that once we gave our word that was “Nuff Said” we all lived by many of your sayings ourselves, and you were like an uncle, or grandfather to each one of us… Today we mourn you like if we lost a family member ourselves because even for some like myself you were here before me, and I’ve spent all my life looking up to you… One of the saddest days of my life was when I missed you at a convention a few years ago, and only managed to see you from far, and wasn’t able to greet you in person or get to have you sign something for me. I was busy doing a podcast, and it took most of the time I was there, and sadly it’s one of the biggest let downs of my life.
Remember true believers in mourning like myself today and like Stan Lee wrote “With great power comes great responsibility.” He said it, wrote it, lived it, and passed it to the rest of us to simulate, and do the same in our daily lives, and it’s one of the best “Quotes” in modern day history.
As a lifelong member of the geek culture myself I want to thank you master Lee for the decades you lead the way for not only every comic book artist that came after you but also for everyone of us in the world who simply geeked out, and read every comic, and book released all these years you were here. From Marvel to your “What IF Stan Lee did DC” run I could never get enough of your work, and like the rest of us we couldn’t get our chubby palms on the books fast enough! I can only say it’s somewhat like a virgin on prom night grabbing the pussy like Trump would say but for the first time.
“I used to think what I did was not very important,” he told the Chicago Tribune in April 2014. “People are building bridges and engaging in medical research, and here I was doing stories about fictional people who do extraordinary, crazy things and wear costumes. But I suppose I have come to realize that entertainment is not easily dismissed.”
No Stan what you did was very important, and it was to Millions of fans worldwide, and with your passing away a big void is left in the world of comics, and imagination. I want to also say with this sadness I present this movie from YouTube to watch, and mourn this incredible loss with me.
I’m beyond more words right now… Rest IN Peace! Love you, and will always miss you.
