So the movie I reported on earlier this week by Blumhouse and Universal Pictures was canceled! ‘The Hunt’ is over, and it all happened after the big “PRO Trump” Backlash online. IN BAD taste the movie depicts rich elitists hunting and killing poor “deplorables” for sport, which drew criticism from 45 himself for being such a divisive movie and its timing incredibly suspect considering two mass shootings just happened! You would think they build a movie around a word (Deplorables) which might have been the word that cost Hillary the needed votes to beat Trump. Ironic huh? She lost a rig election which was rigged for her to win.
Press release statement:
“While Universal Pictures had already paused the marketing campaign for The Hunt, after thoughtful consideration, the studio has decided to cancel our plans to release the film, ” a spokesperson for Universal said in a statement. “We stand by our filmmakers and will continue to distribute films in partnership with bold and visionary creators, like those associated with this satirical social thriller, but we understand that now is not the right time to release this film.”
According to Variety, insiders say the studio came to the decision alongside the filmmakers and that they all agreed to pull the plug on “The Hunt.” Variety reports that sources informed them that the movie will eventually be released. But I’m not counting on it. Better luck with the Snydercut from the WB/DC coming out.
