Joining the show this week is Frank Jacob an award-winning independent filmmaker, editor, director, composer and creative designer, producing compelling documentary and commercial films for a diverse and exciting range of broadcasters and brands. From forbidden archaeology to sexy cars, consciousness to extreme sports; from story development to camera work, music, sound design, graphic design and motion graphics, Jacob works at all levels of the production process, on all industry-standard software platforms, including Avid Media Composer, Adobe Creative Suite, and Apple Final Cut Pro.
Frank Jacob is the producer and director, known for Solar Revolution (2012), Packing for Mars (2015) and Ultimate Rush (2011).
After an early start in composing and performing music, Frank evolved into audio/video post-production, pioneering ‘Live Cinema’ along the way, and ultimately morphed into a producer, writer, director and editor of feature-length documentaries. Deep knowledge of subjects off the beaten path make his award-winning films, speaking engagements and research into cutting-edge material, highly engaging, philosophically relevant and important in these provocative times.
Filming in the most remote locations, such as deep underground cave structures – as depicted in this picture for the hit Red series ‘Ultimate Rush’ – or on a wall of frozen ice, in the soon-to-be-released ‘Fear of Ice’, Jacob’s work has set new standards in extreme sport TV production.
